iPoint Inks Spanish Deal
iPoint-media, which provides live, interactive video applications and delivery platforms for the web and mobile, has signed a multi-year agreement with an unnamed “leading” Spanish video aggregator. The agreement operates on a revenue-sharing basis, with a minimum monthly fee. iPoint-media says it expects revenues of approximately $200,000 (£99,000) in the first year, growing annually over the period of the agreement.
The Spanish aggregator/service provider has been using iPoint-media’s Vitrage 3G mobile video calling application platform for the past two years to offer a range of video calling services in Spain. Based on the continued growth and success of its services, the provider has committed to a long-term agreement with iPoint-media.
“We’re very pleased to be continuing our relationship with one of Spain’s leading service providers,” says iPoint-media VP Marketing and Sales, Joseph Daniel. “The decision to enter a long-term agreement with iPoint-media demonstrates the acceptance of 3G video callings services and the strong commitment customers have to our technology. We foresee continued growth in 3G video calling services and look forward to working closely with all our partners in offering the very best 3G and IP video calling services.”
iPoint-media says it has seen a growing interest in its Vitrage video calling application platform to deliver new forms of interactive video experiences over 3G and broadband IP. Vitrage’s customers include video service providers, mobile operators and media companies throughout Europe and Asia Pacific.
