Yahoo! Launches App-Led Mail Redesign

Yahoo! has launched iOS and Windows 8 apps for its e-mail service, as part of a wider redesign of Yahoo! Mail.

The redesign also brings with it an updated Android app, with the intention of bringing a consistent look and feel to the service across devices. Yahoo is also hoping to improve the speed and intuitiveness of navigation.

The Windows 8 app takes advantage of the OS's Live Tiles feature, to show new messages on the device's start screen, as well as its Snapped View and Fill View options, meaning it can be run alongside another app.
