Sybase 365 Ties Up with paybox for Mobile Payments

Sybase 365 has announced a partnership agreement with mobile payment solutions company paybox that will extend mobile payments and mobile money services to customers worldwide. The agreement extends Sybase 365s global mCommerce footprint, which now covers remote mobile payments (via Premium SMS, billed to the operators phone bill) and mobile banking services. 
payboxs says its mobile payment software, Mobiliser Portfolio, will leverage Sybase 365s integrated mobile messaging services and global reach to more than 700 mobile operators and 3 billion subscribers, offering customers an open mobile payment infrastructure standard.
This agreement is a natural progression of where the market is headed and what customers are demanding from their mobile phones, says paybox CEO, Eckhard Ortwein. By combining mobile messaging and mobile payments offerings, Sybase 365 and paybox are establishing a global standard for mobile commerce services.
