Spott' App Brings Movie Locations to Your Handset

Investment firm Inochi Ventures has helped to develop Spott, an app that aims to bring film and TV locations to life via smartphones. 

Spott is a location-aware app that tells you what iconic 'spotts' - locations and sites of famous scenes from the movies - are near you. You can use AR features to seek out spotts. It also offers a worldwide map, should you want to plan your next road trip around visiting the locations of your favourite movies. 

The app allows you to search a particular city or area, find spotts near you, and also look up actors, directors, and producers associated with the places you discover. 

Registered users can become 'Spotters'. This status allows you to submit your own spotts and upload pictures of yourself at new or existing spotts. 

Spott costs £1.79, and is available for the iOS and Android platforms.
