Sony Spells Out The Latest Xperia Devices
Last week at the IFA expo in Berlin, Sony announced a selection of Xperia smartphones - including the first Tablet device in the range.
The Xperia T - which is to feature in the upcoming James Bond movie Skyfall - is being touted as the flagship model. It features 4.55" display, a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and NFC capabilities.
The line-up is rounded out by the LTE-enabled Xperia V, the Xperia J, and the Xperia Tablet S. All handsets will run on - or at least, be upgradable to at some point in the future - Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), which is still fairly difficult to get your hands on.
The Xperia T and J are going to go on sale in the UK starting tomorrow, 5 September - though Sony says it has not plans to release the Xperia V here, apparently because of the lack of LTE availability in the UK.
According to Sony Mobile Communications president and CEO Kunimasa Suzuki: “Xperia smartphones are at the heart of Sony’s mobile strategy of delivering a consistent user experience across devices, enabling consumers to easily and quickly access the world of entertainment that Sony delivers.”
