Opera Mini 7.1 Improves Downloading on Feature Phones

Opera has updated Opera Miniits browser for BlackBerry and J2ME feature phones, which apparently works on more than 3,000 different models – to version 7.1, with a focus on improving the download process for users on more basic handsets.

The revamped download manager enables downloads to be paused when connectivity disappears, and then automatically resumed, and gives the user more options about where to save files, and what to do with them.

Opera has also recently launched its first mobile music offering, Unlimited Music. The subscription-based service is getting a soft launch in the Russian market, which is both key to Opera and rife with piracy, to test it out before potentially taking it worldwide.
