More people playing Simpsons app than watching it on TV

More people played the Hallowe'en edition of EA's The Simpsons: Tapped Out app than watched the programme's annual Treehouse of Horror Hallowe'en episode on TV in the US.

6.9m users played the 'freemium' iOS game during October, when it got a seasonal 'Treehouse of Horror' makeover, compared to 6.6m who watched the episode on TV.
