MicroStrategy upgrades to 9.3

MicroStrategy has unveiled version 9.3 of its business, mobile and social intelligence platform. The update enhances the platform's Visual Insight user environment, improves to its ability to handle 'Big Data', and incorporates advanced analytics from R — an open source programming language for statistical computing. MicroStrategy 9.3 also promises the enrichment of imported time and geographic data; 'Google-like' search indexing, which adds autofill functionality; and geospatial density heat maps.

“MicroStrategy 9.3 showcases our successful efforts in improving usability, time-to-value, and administrative ease,” says MicroStrategy COO Sanju Bansal. “We’re particularly excited about the ease of use enhancements to MicroStrategy Visual Insight, which allow business users to create powerful insights and dashboards in minutes.”

The product was revealed at the company's MicroStrategy World conference, being held in Amsterdam, along with its Facebook-focused product Wisdom Professional and the beta of its SaaS Cloud Express BI solution.
