'London' Tops Yahoo! Mobile Search Terms

London, football and celebrities feature prominently in Yahoos list of the most popular mobile searches during 2009. The results are based on an analysis of search queries based upon a number of factors, including absolute volume and growth versus previous periods, to see which themes and trends come to the surface. Yahoo! notes that individual users and their search queries always remain anonymous.
The 10 most popular mobile search terms on Yahoo! During 2009 were:

2. Premier League
3. Big Brother
4. Champions League
5. Katie Price
6. Lottery
7. Weather
8. Mail
9. Cricket
10. Michael Jackson  

By way of comparison, the top 10 search terms overall were:

1. Big Brother
2. X Factor
3. Job centre
4. Michael Jackson
5. Jade Goody
6. Premier League
7. Swine Flu
8. Katie Price
9. Cheryl Cole
10. Train Times
