Kineto Launches OTT App for Mobile Operators

Kineto Wireless has launched an app to help operators compete with OTT service providers. Smart Comms enables networks to offer IP-based communications, including chat, VoIP and video, alongside SMS and MMS.

The app interface can be operator-branded and used by consumers to manage all social interactions, including extra features like group chat, image and location sharing. The service can be offered across tablets and PCs as well as smartphones.

Operators will be able to explore new ways of generating revenue, like freemium or ad-supported models. The standard Rich Communications Suite (RCS) technology can be integrated into any compliant infrastructure.
