Iconosys Launches Celebrity Fan App Business
![]()
App developer Iconosys has launched a subsidiary business to focus on celebrity culture, Fan Apps. Fan Apps aims to aggregate social media to help celebrities manage their image and fan base during and after their career. The company is led by former Ice Hockey professional Joe DiPenta, and Iconosys chief executive and co-founder Wayne Irving II. The Fan App aggregates social networking tools into one place so the super fan can find out all there is to know about their hero in one place.
Irving says: "I feel that there is real value in providing the dedicated fan a virtual reach or direct line of communication into the lives of their favorite superstars. That intimate relationship and 1-to-1 athlete to fan connection is very valuable, and if managed right, should provide tremendous long term value for the endorser, both during his or her active professional career, and beyond."
The company believes that a celebrity's popularity could be extended by maintaining a relationship between fan and star.
The app includes a system to give fans a preview of social media posts, access to exclusive picture, or save autographs.
