Groupon mobile up 30 per cent - shares down 30 per cent
Although its shares have dropped 30 per cent to an all-time low of $2.76 following its Q3 results report, mobile transactions are doing well for the daily deal company.
They are up 30 per cent on the same time last year, making up, the company says, around a third of transactions in North America.
Groupon has been working to sure up its mobile offering, launching GrouponPayments in the quarter, with a dongle for participating merchants, as well as Breadcrumb, an iPad-based POS system for restaurants.
It has also integrated with Windows Phone 8 and Nokia’s mapping service.
