Gift Update for Square Users

Square has updated its payment opportunities for merchants and consumers.

The Square Wallet for iOS and Android now offers gift cards just in time for Christmas.

Users can choose from the merchants listed in the Wallet app, enter the gift amount and write a personal message before sending via email to family or friends.

Square Register, available for merchants in the US, now has Apple Passbook integration so they can accept gift cards. Printed QR codes can also now be scanned and updates have been made for iPhone 5.
