Futurlink Scores with Soccer Downloads

Mobile marketing firm FuturLink provided free mobile downloads to spectators at Argentina’s final game on 24 May, played at the River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, before the team heads for S. Africa for the World Cup.

Content was supplied by the official sponsors of the Argentina team, Adidas and Swiss Medical Group, in collaboration with World Eleven. It included three Adidas wallpapers, and a video from Swiss Medical Group featuring the Argentina coach, Diego Maradona.

Screens in the stadium displayed a call-to-action, inviting the crowd to activate Bluetooth on their phone and download the content for free. Several Bluetooth download areas were created covering around 25,000 spectators at the Belgrano and San Martin stands and in the Museum and VIP area, using Futurlink AP400 and AP300x Bluetooth transmitters.
The campaign saw 10,000 pieces of content were downloaded during the game, in addition to the increase in the sponsors’ brand awareness. "The tremendous results obtained predict a rapid growth of FuturLink Argentina’s strategy to establish Bluetooth download locations at different public spaces, domestic and international,” says  FuturLink Argentina CEO, Debora Bermudez.
