Facetones Downloaded Over 1m Times

The Facetones app – which generates a slideshow of photos taken from Facebook every time a user communicates with that friend on their mobile – has passed 1m downloads. The app was launched less than six months ago, by software platform provider Vringo.
“Reaching 1m downloads is a significant accomplishment,” says Andrew Perlman, Vringo's president. “The Facetones application has quickly become popular with users around the world, and the excitement of enhancing phone calls and texts with pictures and social content from sites such as Facebook is spreading rapidly. We believe this new type of interaction will help define the future of social mobile experiences.”
