Eqvitec Exits from Secgo

Eqvitec Technology Fund has sold its holding in the Finnish information security and mobility management software company, Secgo Software Oy, to the Norwegian listed company Birdstep Technology ASA.
Secgo Software Oy is a developer of information security and mobility management software. The company has offices in Tampere and Espoo in Finland and in the US. Secgo's products provide both mobile and fixed network users with secure, flexible and cost-effective remote access to their companies networks. The companys solutions are used in the public, banking and finance, manufacturing, healthcare and military sectors. Eqvitec invested in Secgo in the companys spin-off from Secgo Group in 2004. The funds holding in Secgo prior to the sale was 18%.
Eqvitec was an active party in creating the independent Secgo Software Company says Eqvitec Partners Managing Partner, Jukka Mkinen. SecGo has developed a strong product portfolio, which has already achieved international success. Birdstep is the forerunner in mobile solutions, and together with SecGo, they form a strong player in this growing market.
