CEO of lastminute.com joins Shazam's board

Brent Hoberman, founder and CEO of lastminute.com, has joined Shazam as an independent board member.

Hoberman has held leadership positions in a number of digital and media businesses, including co-founding PROfounders Capital, Mydeco.com and made.com.

A Shazam spokesperson said: “At the end of a hugely successful year for the company, his knowledge of the European market will be a major asset in the development and execution of Shazam’s plans to expand its successful Shazam for TV second-screen service across the UK and Europe in the New Year.”
