Celerant Technology and Motion Computing Launch Mobile POS

Software retailer Celerant Technology has partnered with Motion Computing, which provides Tablets for use in retail. The result is Command Retail POS, an app which enables retailers to ring up sales, process payments and print receipts wirelessly or send them via email.

The app is available on the Motion's SlateMate Tablet device, which comes pre-equipped with a built-in barcode scanner and magnetic stripe reader - but Celerant says development is also underway for a broader selection of mobile devices.

“Every retailer can benefit from Celerant’s Mobile POS whether they are a smaller retailer administering sidewalk sales, or a larger retailer utilizing it for line busting or for more personalized in-aisle sales,” says Celerant president and CEO Ian Goldman. “We wanted to provide our clients with a mobile solution that allows them to manage their business without having to remain in front of the registers. After evaluating different solutions we partnered with Motion, whose Tablet is an all-in-one sales tool that integrates seamlessly with our point of sale software.”
