A+E Monetises Mobile TV with FreeWheel

Video technology company FreeWheel has signed an agreement with A+E Networks, to deploy its Monetization Rights Management system across all of the US cable and satellite TV network’s mobile properties. FreeWheel’s infrastructure will enable A+E to manage ad sales across their mobile sites and apps to monetise its television content made available through iOS devices.

“With an install base of more than a quarter of a billion devices, iOS devices give our television audience a complementary way to watch our programming, and we have seen amazing growth in the number of people who have done just that,” says Lee Barstow, VP digital ad operations and solutions for A+E Networks. “FreeWheel has unrivalled experience with global television and entertainment companies necessary to scale our advertising and revenue opportunities accordingly as we expand our digital footprint even further.”
