Cnnmobilenews CNN International has re-launched its WAP service. Developed in conjunction with Ericsson, the revamped CNN Browsable News service offers in excess of 120 stories per day, including a 2-minute World News Now global news update on demand, updated every hour. It also offers blogs from the field from CNNs international correspondents, 5-day weather forecasts for 1,000 cities around the world, air travel delay news, ski reports, and free Breaking News SMS alerts. Users can also search an archive from the last 14 days, containing over 2,000 stories.
The service iz built around eight editorial sections, including: Top Stories, World News, Business, Weather, Sport, Entertainment & Lifestyle, Science & Tech, and iReport, where users can provide stories, pictures and videos direct from their handset. Navigation is colour-coded to differentiate news environments, and there are multiple images to support and enhance each story.
CNN says the service has been created to be multi-device compliant, with 2.5G and 3G phones, Smartphones and Blackberry handsets. It is targeted at users in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America
