emoze Launches Push Email for Java Handsets

Emoze has launched what it claims is the first push mobile email solution for Java handsets. As a result, the company says, push-email is now available to a whole new category of mobile users, with more than 800 handsets added to the mobile email mix. Standard-grade handsets previously considered ‘dumber’ than Blackberrs handsets, Smartphones or Windows Mobile devices, can get very smart with emoze, the company says.
Owners of Sony Ericsson, Nokia, Motorola and Samsung handsets will now be able to get emoze push e-mail on their handsets, the company says. The deployment will be in stages, Nokia Series40 handsets will be the first to be added, followed shortly after by the other brands.
“This technology has been a long time in the making,” says emoze CEO, Eitan Linker. “We are committed to providing the most robust solution to the broadest number of handsets, which fits into the emoze mass market strategy and serves millions of Java mobile phone users worldwide…This experience is available to users with even the most basic of handsets.”
Emoze says its application is built with cost efficiency and security in mind, and employs encryption features to ensure the safety of all data. The emoze Java client supports a range of personal and corporate data sources including Microsoft Exchange (Outlook), POP3/IMAP servers, as well as Web mail servers such as Gmail.
