Insure Your Car on Your Mobile

Online insurance company swiftcover.com has launched a mobile site where consumers can obtain car insurance quotes instantly from their mobile.
By texting SWIFT to 80231 or clicking a banner to the swiftcover.com mobile site and entering their name, postcode, car registration, date of birth, occupation and years of ‘no claims’, customers receive a text directly to their mobile, allowing them to keep a record of the quote and forward it to others if required. The consumer can then enter their email address on the mobile site to be sent an email confirming the price, and a web link to buy their insurance. This enables consumers to finish the purchase cycle and swiftcover.com to track the number of quotes which have been sold as a result of consumers using the mobile channel.
swiftcover.com says its aim has always been to simplify the car insurance quote process. With a mobile-generated quote, customers are able to request the quote while on the move. Moreover, it says, the service makes swiftcover.com’s above the line marketing interactive, shortening the distance between advertising exposure and purchase.
The AXA-owned insurance company intends to promote the site via mobile search and banner campaigns on- and off-portal, and via a text call to action on swiftcover.com’s above the line marketing acticities.
The idea was conceived by Steak Media, swiftcover.com’s PPC (Pay Per Click) & Display agency, which briefed Flix Marketing to design, create and run the mobile platform.
